Brake Van E.1 (ii)
This replacement for the original E.1 (i) which was destroyed following an accident at St. John’s in 1893, was later renumbered as E.4 (ii) scrapped in 1975 as part of the Ballasalla Bonfire making it one of the last brake vans to survive. The accompanying illustration shows a possible livery variety with fleet lettering on the waist panels.
