Brake Composite F.18
The final vehicle from a batch of six from Brown, Marshalls & Co., Ltd., and delivered in 1894, this carriage features a guards’ compartment and five passenger compartments, the central four of which are doubles with no bulkhead between them, with a final end compartment as a single, a common layout for such carriages. It has been in regular traffic throughout the railway’s long history and was fitted with a new roof during a partial rebuild in 1988. Further panelling attention was carried out in 2022 and the carriage fully repainted and returned to service in early 2023. The guards’ compartment is at the southern end of the carriage and features three rear lookout windows

F.18 undergoing attention in the workshops at Douglas Station in September 2018 including panelling and attention to the doors.
Looking very smart on Road One at Douglas Station following a repaint in 1964, note the damage sustained to the running board.
