Four-Wheel Carriage B.15

Supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co.,Ltd., of Saltley Works in Birmingham for the 1873 opening of the Peel Line, from 1881 this carriage was close-coupled to B.11 and in 1910 the two were mounted on a new bogie underframe to become “pair” F.66; the timber frames were then used to construct K.22 and carriage bodies remain in storage having last operated in traffic as late as 1999 when they were largely relegated to spare stock.
