Four-Wheel Carriage B.5

This four-wheel carriage was delivered from the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd., of Saltley Works, Birmingham for the opening of the Peel Line in 1873 and from 1881 became close-coupled with B.3; in 1912 a new bogie underframe was supplied from the same manufacturer and the number F.51 allocated; the original timber underframes became K.16; the bodies were scrapped in 1967 and the frames became R.11.
