Closed Van Gr.11 (M.N.Ry. No.14)

One of five wagons inherited from the Manx Northern Railway and supplied by the Swansea Carriage & Wagon Co. in 1879 for the opening of the North Line, upon the 1905 merger this van was inherited and renumbered accordingly, having been No.14 as built.  This van had ventilation distinguishing it from earlier examples in common with other north line stock.  Withdrawn by 1962 it was stored, a regular haunt being the goods yard; after the closure of the Peel Line it was shunted onto that line just outside Douglas Station where it was destroyed by an arson attack in 1972.
