Closed Van Gr.13 (M.N.Ry. No.16)

One of five wagons delivered by the Swansea Carriage & Wagon Co., for the opening of the Manx Northern Railway in September 1879 and numbered No.16 in their sequence; upon the 1905 merger with the Isle of Man Railway it was re-numbered accordingly with the small r prefix denoting its Ramsey Line origins, this van had ventilation distinguishing it from earlier examples.  It was scrapped in 1969 and only sister van Gr.12 of this type survives, presently in storage.
