“Pairs” Carriage F.58

Two four-wheel carriages, B.18 and C.3, mounted on a new bogie underframe in 1918 supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd. of Saltley Works in Birmingham to become F.58, withdrawn from service in 1964 having seen almost exclusive use on schools trains latterly, the bodies were scrapped at St. John's in 1968 and bogie runner R.8 created.  This was sold to the Ffestiniog Railway becoming their carriage No.111.
