“Pairs” Carriage F.60
The Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd. of Saltley Works in Birmingham supplied a new underframe in 1916 which was used to mount four-wheel carriages B.24 and B.13 to create a “pairs” carriage numbered F.60; the bodies were scrapped in 1968 at St. John’s Station and the underframe allocated the new number R.2; this runner was sold to the Ffestiniog Railway in 1974 and is now their Waggon No.57.
