Bogie Runner R.1

This set of underframes was stripped of its carriage bodies in 1967  with the carriage F.53 (consisting of four-wheelers A.5 and B.21) being discarded in the yard at St. John’s Station and the frame used for container carriage.  After this useage ceased the frames were sold in 1974 to the Ffestiniog Railway in North Wales.

Some bogie runner still survive in departmental use as here at Douglas Station in the summer 0f  2021.
