Following the enormous success of the Un-Loch Your Cash appeal by the Association launched in 1998, four years later the locomotive was returned to service with a new boiler funded from this scheme; by 2010 the boiler was in need of new tubes and the Association were only too happy to step in and assist our very good friends at Isle of Man Railways, continuing our association with this iconic locomotive
