Museum Interpretation

In 2023 the Association provided updated and improved interpreation panals the the major exhibits in the railway museum at Port Erin Station which included new information on six-wheel carriage M.N.Ry. No.6, updated panels for No.1 Sutherland and No.6 Peveril as well as wagons H.1 and M.78 and vans G.1/G.19.  This is part of a wider remit requested by Isle of Man Railways which will also include No.5 Mona and the addition of Michael Radcliffe’s excellent Douglas ’61 scale model.  It is also our ultimate aim to provide child-friendly interpretation and interactive displays to engage the next generation of railway supporters.
