To mark the diamond jubilee of the Supporters’ Association throughout 2026 a number of events were staged including two special trains; notable among events was the publication of The 1966 Almanac which covers in detail the events leading up to the closure of the railway, formation of our group, and articles extracted from early editions of Manx Steam Railway News with the addition of many contemporaneous photographs and documents.  This can be obtained from us here.

To coincide with our landmark anniversary, we herewith make available updated copies of the first dozen journals which have been reformatted into the present layout with the addition of further contemporary images; these were not available at the time owing to printing restrictions; it is our intention to utilise these editions for The 1967 Almanac to be published in 2027 which, if successful, is hoped to be followed on an annual basis with similar publications appearing in future years.
