Thursday 19th March was the first day of the 2026 season on the railway and saw trains operating to the “R” timetable, with No.4 Loch taking the 9.50am ex-Douglas Station with No.13 Kissack on the 10.00am ex-Port Erin Station having travelled south light engine the previous day in preparation for service.  M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia also banked the 1.50pm departure in order to be south for the additional trains operating on Friday 20th March 

Carriages in use for the opening day were F.46, F.48, F.47, and F.15 on the north set and F.18, F.63, F.11, and F.49 based south.  The railway will operate on selected dates until the end of May, with a daily service operating across the Easter period, see the Full Timetable for full details, details of the additional services operating may be found on Isle of Man Railways social media pages.
