Background

Since its inception in 1966 the Association has had an active hands-on involvement in the railway, largely peripheral in more recent times; it continues to support the railway with a variety of smaller projects such as the renovation and upkeep of wayside stations, provision of signage and upkeep of platform furniture, alongside more major works such as the provision of freight stock.  Our previous projects can be viewed via the link above.

We maintain an active presence on the railway in a number of ways.  These pages provide overview of each of our projects, showing the ongoing work, and our most recent projects, some of which remain ongoing. We are always delighted to hear of any suggested project proposals and The Chairman can be contacted here.  List below are also some suggested projects for future consideration.
