The 2025 season began on Thursday 20th March when No.11 Maitland took the 9.50am ex-Douglas Station, with No.13 Kissack based at Port Erin Station having travelled down light engine the previous afternoon. The “R” timetable is now operating four days a week with no services Monday to Wednesday. There will be daily train services from 3rd April over the Easter period. Below are a selection of images from the opening four days of the season, during which services were well patronised. The season runs through until Sunday 2nd November. The dining train leaflet for the 2025 season is available and bookings are now open with the first excursions taking place on Saturday 29th March. The nextedition of our official journal Manx Steam Railway News is due to be published in the middle of May and will include a more comprehensive round up of recent happenings.
