Closed Van G.4
This was the fourth and final closed van of the first batch of four such vehicles supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., of Saltley Works in Birmingham for the opening of the Peel Line in 1873; this example was withdrawn in 1962 and scrapped at Ballasalla Station in 1974, seeing out its final days stored outside the carriage shed at Douglas Station.
