Half-Brake Carriage F.40

Second of three identical carriages delivered from the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd. of Saltley Works in Birmingham in 1907, this carriage survived in regular traffic until 1972 when it was withdrawn as surplus to operating requirements and needing bodywork attention; it was stored in the carriage shed at Douglas Station until 1977 when the body was removed and scrapped, the underframe becoming a bogie runner for a time, being scrapped in 1984.
