N.51 : M.N.Ry. No.14

Purchased for the opening of the Manx Northern Railway on 23rd September 1879 from the Swansea Carriage & Wagon Co.  The final member of the class was one that was noted as still being available for traffic at peak times into the 1940s, thereafter it was stored at Ramsey, later St. John’s; it was selected and purchased for private preservation off-island in 1975 and is now part of the collection of the Phyllis Rampton Charitable Trust.
