New Injectors For No.13 Kissack
With the return to traffic of No.13 Kissack in 2005 the Association were approached by their good friends at Isle of Man Railways to provide a new set of injectors for the historic locomotive and were only too happy to oblige. The locomotive had been withdrawn at the end of the 1991 season and its boiler overhauled to be fitted to No.10 G.H. Wood which returned to service as part of the Year of Railways in 1993 having last operated in 1977.
No.13 Kissack in the running shed as work on her rebuild neared completion with Association-funded injectors shortly after the replacement chimney received its copper cap.
No.13 Kissack back in passenger traffic and passing No.11 Maitland at Ballasalla Station shortly after her recommissioning and return to regular use.
The first trial steaming of No.13 Kissack outside the workshops as work was ongoing for her completion following an extensive overhaul, having last operated in 1991.
Heading away from Port St. Mary Station shortly after returning to traffic, No.13 Kissack carrying the post-war Indian Red livery in which she was initially outshopped.
