Work commenced at Ballabeg Station in 2020 after the provision of concrete planters the previous year; these had been painted maroon and the idea was struck upon to paint the building in this scheme to match, and provide a new running in board; the previous green scheme was prepared and undercoated, as well as the corrugated roof being painted into a neutral gray colour; additionally the benches and bins were also similarly treated and a section of picket fencing donated by a member was installed to complete the scene; the station now stands out prominently from the nearby road whereas before it rather bleneded in.  Future proposed works are further picket fences and period signage.
