Cosmetic Restoration 

Locomotive No.9 Douglas

Following the success of a similar project on No.5 Mona which came to fruition in July 2023 in time for the anniversary celebrations, the Association are currently working on the cosmetic restoration of sister locomotive, 1896-built No.9 Douglas in the running shed at Douglas Station as time and manpower allows.  The current intention is to have this work largely completed in time for the 150th anniversary celebrations for the South Line which will take place in the summer of 2024.
