Abba Station “Legends” Dining Train : 8th April
The first of this year’s Station “Legends” themed dining trains operated this evening with M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia in charge departing Douglas Station shortly after 7.00pm with an Abba theme and on-board disc jockey under the banner of Carnaby Street in association with Manx Radio. The train travelled to Castletown Station and return with many diners opting to dress to the theme of the popular Swedish Eurovision winners making for quite the atmosphere.
Tomorrow will see the Easter Lunch and Afternoon Tea trains both in service which will be hauled by No.4 Loch while No.11 Maitland and M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia maintain services which are running to timetable “R” throughout the Easter period; so far the excellent weather has seen the railway very busy which is most encouraging to see, on Good Friday there was a train of six carriages to cope with demand. There were some shed and workshop tours on Easter Saturday.
