Following the introduction of the first bogie passenger stock the four-wheel brake vans were eventually phased out and this particular example was  later used from 1924 as a grounded store at Santon Station where it was scrapped 1975 in situ. The base that carried this remains at the station today as a flowerbed.  The underframes were scrapped.
