The Fish Wagons

These hybrid wagons were low-sided when compared with other similar goods stock and were constructed on four-wheeled underframes released from carriages which had been put on bogie underframes (see “pairs” for details).  They were numbered in a separate sequence with no letter prefix but were originally proposed to follow on from the “H” series.  They were labelled “Fish Wagon” at the left-hand side and carried their nominal fleet numbers to the right as per the illustration below.  For details on the individual wagons click on the links below:-
