Four-Wheel Carriage C.10

One of the first batch delivered for the opening of the Peel Line in 1873 and later close-coupled in 1882 with A.7, this new carriage was numbered F.54; both the carriage and the bogie underframe on which it was mounted were supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd., of Saltley Works in Birmingham, the carriage was withdrawn and bodies scrapped in 1983; a new replica was constructed 1993-1999 in-house and this carriage remains in service today.
