Four-Wheel Carriage B.21

Part of the first series and supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co.,Ltd., of Saltley Works in Birmingham for the 1873 opening of the Peel Line, from 1881 this carriage was close-coupled to A.5 and in 1926 the two were mounted on a new bogie underframe to become F.55; the timber frames were then used to construct K.20 and bodies scrapped in 1968, became R.3.
