Start Of The Season : 15th  March 2024

The 2024 season opened today, Friday 15th  March with No.4 Loch and No.13 Kissack both in service; it was necessary to cancel the 9.50am and 11.50am departures from Douglas Station with work ongoing with the yard relay, so the south train headed by No.4 Loch undertook two shuttles to Castletown Station and return at 10.00am and 12.00pm before the usual "R" timetable commenced in the afternoon.

Train services will continue over the weekend to the regular timetable, with the south train consisting of F.45, F.63 and F.46 while the Douglas-based set is F.26, F.15 and F.49.  Trains will operate daily over the Easter period with the first dining train on 29th March.  This year marks the 150th  anniversary of the South Line which will be marked during the Manx Heritage Transport Festival at the end of July/beginning of August.
