The latest edition of our official journal Manx Steam Railway News has recently been dispatched to members including the usual mix of news, views photographs and articles as well as the notice of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting which will take place during the Manx Heritage Transport Festival marking the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the South Line.

Please note that this year the meeting will take place in The Tickethall at Douglas Station and NOT, as mentioned within the text of the journal, at the Columba Club as previous years; the notice and proxy form included with the journal are correct, the text within its pages is a printing error. At the meeting two directors, William Cubbon and Kevin Lewin, will retire by rotation and both seek re-election.

It is proposed that the next edition will be collated and dispatched to members in mid-September after the festival and as ever The Editor welcomes any content and feedback for this edition.  The Association have placed a number of information panels at intermediate stations to mark the anniversary providing historical summaries and photographs; these can be found at Santon Station, Ballasalla Station, Ballabeg Station, The Level and Port St. Mary.
