Constructed in-house in Douglas Workshops, this van was made using the damaged brake van E.1 (i) and was scrapped as part of the Ballasalla Bonfire in 1974.

G.7 was the first on-house van of the series, being constructed using parts of brake van E.i (i) following its accident; it was based on the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd., design and looked similar.
