Brake Composite F.18

One of a batch of six from Brown, Marshalls & Co., Ltd., in 1894, this composite has been in regular traffic throughout the railway's long history and was fitted with a new roof during a partial rebuild in 1988.  Further panelling attention was carried out in 2022 and the carriage fully repainted and returned to service in early 2023.  The guards' compartment is at the southern end of the carriage and features three rear lookout windows
