Train At The Halt
This halt was open for a few seasons from 1980 and served a country park; shuttle trains were operated from Douglas, usually consisting of one carriage or the diesel railcars; the latter would return to the terminus from the site, steam operated trains continuing to Port Soderick where the locomotive would run round its train for the return trip. The halt was short lived and consisted of a gravelled area at ground level beside the running line with access to the park being via a gate next to the trackside as can be seen on the accompanying view above beside the chair. This area will be expanded once further research has been carried out. If you can help please contact the website administrator.
