Cattle Vans K.1 (i) - K.2 (i)

First two vans of their series delivered from the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., Ltd., of Saltley Works in Birmingham for the opening of the Peel Line in 1873, both examples were scrapped as early as 1921, the chassis of K.2 (i) being used for the basis of wagon H.41 and K.1 scrapped completely, replacements for both were created in 1926 taking the same fleet numbers, these utilised the redundant frames from C.11 and B.6 respectively.

In May 1938 K.22 was captured at St. Germain’s Station, note the bullock being transported to the mart. 

September 1952 and van K.20 is in the goods yard at Ramsey Station on mart duty.
