Festival Welcome Evening : 23rd July

The Summer Transport Festival commenced yesterday with a welcome evening and locomotive line-up at Port Erin Station featuring No.4 Loch, No.5 Mona, No.6 Peveril, No.8 Fenella and No.13 Kissack making for some memorable photographic opportunities.  A special train was hauled by No.4 Loch departing Douglas Station at 5.30pm and bringing down No.8 Fenella for the event following its trip to the site of Peel Station.


M.N.Ry. No.4 Caledonia is at Knockaloe Farm for a second day as part of the festival and yesterday also saw a Sunday lunch dining service headed by No.4 LochThe railway is operating to the “R” timetable today as the festival continues, and after services have concluded for the day No.4 Loch will travel to Port Erin Station to bring back No.6 Peveril and wagons H.1 and M.78 in preparation for events later in the week.
