Brake Composite F.16
Part of a batch of six bogie carriages supplied by Brown, Marshalls & Co., Ltd., of Birmingham in 1894, this carriage was identical to F.17 and F.18, the latter of which remains in service today; it was lost in the carriage shed fire at St. John's on 10th December 1975.

Above: Based on the surviving image below of F.16 at Port Erin Station in the austerity livery, there were several variations on this theme, some carriages did not have the class designations on the compartment doors, on others (notably some of the "pairs") the figure of three was in a larger more elaborate style. The carriage was used little latterly and banished to the carriage shed at St. John's from 1970 where it was destroyed during the fire on 10th December 1975.
